2016 LOTUS 3-ELEVEN AU15 BTV
- Development car for the 3-ELEVEN
- Reigned as the fastest road car in 2016
- Officially imported and modified by LCI to be eligible to register in Japan
- 0→100km/h in merely 3 seconds
The development of the 3-ELEVEN began as a project to realize the ultimate Lotus philosophy in a road-legal vehicle. Although initial production volume was scheduled to be 311 units, actual production stopped at around 200 units, increasing the rarity of the model.
There is a road version and race version. The latter was made as light as possible, weighing only 890kg powered by a 3.5-L V6 supercharged engine outputting 460ps. Acceleration from 0→100km/h only takes a mere 3 seconds.
The auction car is the actual development car for the 3-ELEVEN, code named AU15 BTV. The car was tested on the Nürburgring numerous times and it holds the 2016 road car lap record of 1:06.20 at Hockenheim Circuit.
This AU15 BTW with chassis no. SCCLLLWL6GHG10036 was officially imported by LCI (authorized importer of Lotus) and modified to make the car eligible for registration in Japan. Definitely a thought-after car even by non-Lotus fans. A collector car with unquestionable authenticity.
