This is a rare MP Lafel, which was made to replicate MG's TD models styling using VW engines and chassis, only about 20 units were imported to Japan.
The car has been kept indoors with and covered, and has been maintained regularly at a Volkswagen store in Osaka, so both the exterior and engine are in very good condition (despite the lack of maintenance records). According to the current owner, the car is regularly run about twice a month.
The roof, seats, and belts have been replaced with new aftermarket ones, and the muffler has also been replaced for improved sound.
