First shown as a prototype at the 1973 Frankfurt Motor Show, the Porsche 930 entered production in 1975. Initially, the “930” designation was reserved exclusively for the newly introduced turbocharged variant. Naturally aspirated models continued to follow the 901 lineage until 1978, when the NA cars were officially incorporated into the 930 series. Production continued for eleven years until the arrival of the 964. At launch, the car shared its 3.0-liter flat-six with the 911S, but in 1984 displacement was increased to 3.2 liters through a longer stroke, raising output beyond that of the 1973 Carrera RS. This milestone led to the revival of the “Carrera” name, which thereafter became synonymous with naturally aspirated 911 performance.

The car offered here is a late-model 930 Carrera equipped with the 3.2-liter flat-six, representing the final model year of production. One of its most notable attributes is its uninterrupted original registration: it has retained its “Shizuoka 33” number since new. Delivered through Shizuoka Subaru (via Mitsuwa), the car has covered only 41,965 km and has been continuously serviced at official dealers, with all service booklets and records present.

Following its inheritance by the current owner, two strict principles - garage storage and no driving in the rain. These practices explain why the car remains in exceptional condition today. The bodywork has been professionally refinished in its original color to restore its appearance, and the engine-bay insulator has been replaced. Both cosmetically and mechanically, this example stands as a truly ideal 930 Carrera - beautifully preserved, thoroughly documented, and cared for with uncommon devotion.
