1947 Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 Sport Freccia D'Oro

  • One of just 680 Freccia D’Oro
  • Alfa Romeo’s first postwar road car
  • Weber carburettors

The 6C 2500 Sport Freccia D’Oro was Alfa Romeo’s first road car post WWII.

It featured innovative technologies such as a torsion bar rear suspension with telescopic shock absorbers and hydraulic brakes. The 6C 2500 came in three models, Sport, Super Sport and Turismo with a number of variants of each model.

This example is a Freccia d’Oro which is a Sport variant. A Freccia d’Oro was driven by Al Pacino playing Vito Corleone in the film The Godfather.
This car is a special car in Alfa Romeo’s history, they were hand built and are rare with just 680 Freccia d’Oro made out of a total of the believed 2,200 6C made.

This example with 40,827 km is in good condition with no sign of rust on the body or any of the plated parts.
The beige cloth interior is also in overall good condition, there are a few stains but considering it was built shortly after the war it presents itself well and it’s clear it has been well maintained.
